You can buy kettlebells in different weight categories from 4 to 40 kg. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, there is always a suitable weight to be found. If you are just starting to train, it is not wise to immediately start with heavy weights. With the right weight class, you can tailor your workout to your level.
Choosing the right weight
A kettlebell that is too light will not be used optimally, while one that is too heavy increases the risk of injuries. Therefore, always find the right balance. In the overview below, you can see which weight suits your experience:
Beginner
For beginners, it is wise to start with a lower weight. The advantage of this is more repetitions, allowing you to perfect the technique.

Weight: 12 – 20 kg
