Een armband is klein en draag je om je arm of enkel. Een hardloopvest bedekt je borst en rug, waardoor je rondom zichtbaar bent. Een vest biedt vaak meer verlichting, terwijl een armband lichter en gemakkelijker mee te nemen is.

Dit hangt af van het type en het gebruik. Veel LED-armbanden of vesten kunnen 10-20 uur meegaan op één batterijlading of setje batterijen. Oplaadbare modellen zijn eenvoudig via USB op te laden.

Reflecterende verlichting werkt alleen wanneer er licht op valt, zoals van koplampen. LED-verlichting geeft zelf licht, zodat je ook zichtbaar bent bij weinig of geen ander licht. Een combinatie van beide is het meest effectief.

Zeker! Vooral reflecterende banden en vesten vergroten je zichtbaarheid tijdens schemering of overdag, bijvoorbeeld bij mist. LED-verlichting is vooral geschikt voor gebruik in het donker.

De meeste vesten en banden kunnen met een vochtige doek schoongemaakt worden. Controleer altijd eerst de gebruiksaanwijzing, vooral bij producten met ingebouwde elektronica of batterijen.
