The VirtuFit Wooden Plyo Box 3-in-1 is one of the most widely used training tools for functional training and is mainly used for Box Jumps. You train your explosive power and jumping power in the legs with it, which allows you to run faster and jump higher, among other things. This type of training on a plyobox is called plyometric training. On plyoboxes you can perform many other exercises besides Box Jumps, including, for example, Lateral Step Overs, Elevated Push Ups and Burpee Box jumps.
Plyometric training goal
According to science, plyometric training has been proven to be excellent for stimulating fast contracting muscle fibers. You need these muscle fibers to optimize your quick power and maximum strength. As a result, you deliver more power and explosiveness. You teach your muscles and tendons to quickly shorten and lengthen during an explosive exercise, enabling your muscles to deliver maximum strength in the shortest possible time frame.
Tilting Plyobox Design
The VirtuFit Wooden Plyo Box has a simple tilting design that allows you to easily train. Depending on which side you place the plyo box on, three different heights are possible, namely: 75, 60 and 50 cm. This means you always have the right height for optimal results. Is this plyo box still too high? We also have a smaller version. With this small plyo box, the following heights are possible: 50, 45 and 40 cm.
Moving the plyo box

Ze zijn gemonteerd op een lagere plek dan ik gewend ben, en daardoor moet je of hele lange armen hebben, of de plyo box bijna knuffelen om hem vast te pakken. "De box is stevig, maar het in elkaar zetten moet wel met enig geweld, de stukken hout sluiten niet zo makkelijk op elkaar aan en moeten echt met een rubberen hamer op hun plek worden getikt. Het houten kruis dat aan de binnenkant moet gaat er los in, maar heeft speling, dus het rammelt en kan verplaatsen als je de box keert. Achteraf had ik hem er wel in willen lijmen maar doordat de box zo moeilijk in elkaar ging vrees ik dat ik hem niet meer uit elkaar krijg zonder hem te beschadigen. Dus als je deze box koopt, koop ook wat houtlijm, ook al staat het niet in de handleiding."
